Anyone have any info on what the standard setlists could look like on their upcoming shows? What songs do you think and/or hope we'll see, aside from the staples?

Personally, I'd love to see The Piper or The Pharaoh find their way back into their live catalog (nobody saw that one coming..), but also The Asylum, Wasted Time, Sacrifice, Down to the Devil, Navigator and, feeling a little experimental, Jerusalem :D Fucking With Fire would also be cool, definitively prefer it over Lavatory Love Machine!

My guess (not in this order):

- 4 or 5 songs from Space Police. Even though we haven't heard the full album yet, I'm pretty sure Sabre & Torch will be the opener.
- Maybe 1 or 2 rare songs (The Asylum, 9-2-9, Spooks In The Attic, Down To The Devil, etc).
- 1 epic. Theater Of Salvation would be a great surprise.
- 1 ballad. Maybe it's time to replace Save Me with something else. :)
- A few classic songs like Superheroes, Lavatory Love Machine, King Of Fools, Robin Hood, Tears Of A Mandrake, etc.

Tough question, because there'll probably be at lot of new songs (at least 5 I'd wager) and a load of fan favourites they'll want to fit in. I hope they approach it the way they initially approached the Tinnitus Sanctus shows: a load of new songs, a few staples (with some fan favourites sacrificed) and a few rarer gems. I expect we will get one song from AOTJ (I reckon Nobody's Hero).

Of the rarer gems, I'd like to see (I've gone for songs that have been played previously):

9-2-9 (Got a few airings, sounded great, keep it in).
Spooks in the Attic (See above).
Navigator (Hasn't been played for a while, one of their best).
Painting on the Wall (Hasn't been played much since the Mandrake tour. Would love to see it back).
Fairytale (An old, fast song to make the power metal faithful happier).
Scarlet Rose (Hopefully they drop Save Me from the ballad slot. This would be a nice change if they don't use the new album ballad).
The Asylum (Not seen since the Rocket Ride tour. It would be nice to see it return).

I doubt there’ll be any setlists available before the tour starts, but never say never.

If I could make only one wish, it would be The Piper Never Dies, I don’t even dare to think of dream setlists because they never come true anyway.

Maybe we should turn this topic into our desired setlists.

I'll probably update this with an additional four songs from Space Police, once I've heard it a few times, and discovered my favourites from it. So here is a dream setlist minus the Space Police songs:

Misguiding Your Life
Vain Glory Opera
Ministry Of Saints
We Don't Need A Hero
Key To My Fate
Tears Of A Mandrake
Down To The Devil
Faces In The Darkness
The Pride Of Creation
Spooks In The Attic
Robin Hood
The Pharaoh
Until We Rise Again
Babylon

Encore 1

Sacrifice
Wash Away The Poison
Wings Of A Dream

Encore 2

Mysteria
Power And Majesty
Wake Up The King
Angelic Storm

Roses to no one instead of save me! My eyes are watering just by remembering the song in my head, it would be killer live :)

I haven't been to an Edguy concert since 2000.
There will be no boring songs for me :-).
I would however prefer newer material.

My list sofar (to be extended):

Lavatory Love Machine
Robin Hood
Ministry Of Saints
Nailed to the wheel => does Tobi sing that one live? I would imagine it is a killer for his vocal chords.
9-2-9
Theater of Salvation
Two out of Seven
Every Night Without You => Because of the lyrics. Touching and powerful.
And whatever great songs they play from Space Police.

Otherwise, I am open for surprises.

When I saw "no boring songs", I assumed you meant no slow songs. After seeing Every Night Without You, I have to ask what your mean by boring songs.

Nope, I meant boring.

Some bands play almost the same setlist year after year after year.
I always know beforehand which songs they will play.
There are no surprises and that does get boring. At least for me.

Slow doesn't necessarily equal boring.
Unless it's ten minutes of slow  .
Nothing against a lovely slow ballad inbetween faster songs.
