Savages,

We're pleased to launch the new version of our Edguy & Avantasia forums this evening complete with new SPACE POLICE theming! :) You'll notice changes not only in the overall feel & look of the forums but with rank & moderator images as well. I know this "upgrade" has been a long time coming, and I really appreciate your continued patience as we've searched for what we feel like is the "right" solution.

Moving forward we'll be able to customize this theme to the look and feel of whatever band (Edguy or Avantasia) and album is currently "in season". This should help keep us all motivated and focused in on supporting these bands that many of us have loved and supported for so so long! I appreciate your continued support, and if anyone has questions, comments, or needs help with anything please let me know.

This forum celebrates its 13th birthday this May - I'd say we're off to a grand way of celebrating. So have fun, stay savage, and let us know if you need anything! 8)

Wow! It looks fantastic!! Good job! :hug

The difference between read/unread posts is a bit hard to see though.

Nice! It'll take a while to get used to it but I think I like it :)

Great! I am glad you like it! :)

You know I agree with you on the read / unread posts thing. Would you like to see a different color for unread perhaps? That might look better as well. 8)

Yes, that might look better than a now barely visible icon (looks more like there's a small indent in front of the topic titles) :) Thanks in advance!

Awesome new layout great work :hug

The only thing I think could be better is that read/unread-thing you've already mentioned. :)
Who do you think you are to think you're of a better class?
Who do you think you are to expect us to KISS your a**?

My first thought when I locked in: WOW, THIS LOOKS GREAT!

It takes some getting used to and I had to change the colour of my signature quote, but I really like the new look!
Much cooler (not only because of all the blue) and much more ... professional. For lack of a better word.

I do agree on the read/unread thing, though.
Bit hard to tell. Different colours might do the trick.

All in all, awesome job, Harmon!

Looks OK!

However I miss the "quote-boxes", I think posts with quotes were easier to read with those!

You know Thierry... I am somewhat jealous of that avatar, and I almost took it. ;) But... I couldn't bring myself to give up my 'ole hand drawn homemade avatar. It's served me too well to bail on it. 8)

Ahh I see now what you mean and a box maybe with a different color for quotes would be indeed better for reading. ;)

Hey, Harmon,

are your skills for hire?
I am thinking about re-vamping my website later this year and I could use some professional help.
It looks ok - considering that html is not my favourite foreign language - but I would say there is potential.
A lot of potential :D .

Major improvement in design and functionality, as far as I can tell. Also good that there finally is an easier way to get back to the index page.

Somehow the new theme feels more "dynamic". More thoughts/feedback may be forthcoming.

Good job, Harmon!

Forum looks great but it doesn't show up in Opera browser (v. 19.0).

It looks like this:

As a suggestion Harmon, what do you think about adding a 'Social Login' for facebook or twitter? People are often a little lazy to enter the forum with login data, so a connection to face or twitter would increase people joining the discussion. I did add it to my forum last weekend.
