...and what do you think about it?

I'm wondering if maybe we can get to know some new bands, or even new stuff about older bands. No need to write a detailed review, just a short description. ;)

Mine was Mr. Big's "Bump Ahead".
Image
As some people here know, I really like this Hard Rock band... so it was time to buy what most people consider as their "masterpiece". Can't really disagree with them... :D
I only knew "Colorado Bulldog" and "Wild World" before buying the album... well, the first one is still my favorite, some blues influence and totally unnecessary [thus lovely ;)] fast guitar solos from Mr. Paul Gilbert. The second mentioned song doesn't need comments, it was played in almost every radio station in this planet...
From the songs I didn't know, spotlights to "Price You Gotta Pay" ["blues and headbanging finally come together thanks to Billy"...] and to their version of the song that gave them their name, "Mr. Big", originally by Free.

    4. Mépris
    5. Insomnie

Well, my two last musical purchases were two famous brasilian bands :

Angra - Angel cry

Shaman - Ritual

About a description, hum i would say i listened to Angra just once yet, and didn't open Shaman yet so it will be hard to give my opinion now !!! *shamed* :redface But what ? Since i got those CDs, i either had no CD player with me or have been out or with people who can't stand what they call "my style of music" But as i bought them following the advices of some good friends, i trust them to believe they are good ones.. If not... they'd better watch out !!!! j/k

Mine is Metallica - St. Anger, you know, I do love Metallica, so I can´t leave apart my love for them, anyway, I must say this is not the album that I was expecting from Metallica, I don´t like how the drums sound, however, through a couple of "listenings" I have learnt to enjoy of the album, and after all, is METALLICA and they rock as hell.
:D j:)

@Astral: Great album Sir !!!! I have three Mr Big cds and I like it all, I think that Mr Big was a great band and they deserved more luck that they had. :(

My last two albums were "Killing Games" by the French metal legend Killers (most of their stuff is French, but those songs are all recorded in English) and I just love it! The other one was "Teeth Of The Hydra", a best of CD by the American power metal band Omen, and it also rocks like hell :P ! I bought both of them at the Keep It True festival last month :D .

A second CD from Masterplan is definitely something to look forward to. The first three songs on this release are ones that I can play over and over and over....

@ESTAC: I was pretty surprised in Wacken when you told me Manowar isn´t that popular in France. Well, the "Warriors..." album isn´t bad, but there are muuuuch better albums by them like "Kings Of Metal", "Battle Hymns", "Into Glory Ride", "Hail To England", "The Triumph Of Steel" and especially my personal fav´ "Fighting The World" :) .
