"Dead Sound of Misery" has its interest, as a darker version of "Fly" (for those with the limited edition).

(And MoB, I had to pass through your signature with my mouse to check if there was a link... damn, I'm moderating too much these days...)

Suggest to Harmon that he let MoB and I delete posts and spam accounts.. we'll keep this place clean. :)

I saw Blind Guardian in concert last Saturday and it was fantastic!

They played for 2,5 hrs in front of a crowd of 9000 to 10.000 people.
Pretty good out-turn, I would say :) .

The opening act was Orphaned Land from Israel.
Interesting music. Some of the lyrics were in English, some in Hebrew
and they included folk music themes from their country.
Worth checking them out.

This is the setlist for Blind Guardian.
Not in completely correct running order.
It's a miracle I remembered all the titles at my age :-).

++

Intro
The Ninth Wave
Nightfall
Teach you how to fly
Majesty => was supposed to be an Encore, but we bullied Hansi into singing it earlier :-)
Twilight of the Gods
Time what is time
The last Candle
Miracle Machine
Lord of the Rings
Tanelorn

Encore 1:
Into the Storm (including Intro)
Valhalla
Imaginations from the other side

Encore 2:
The Bard's Song
Mirror Mirror
Wheel of Time

++
Speramus Meliora; Resurget Cineribus

Life was easier when apples and blackberries were just fruit ...

Yesterday we had an awesome show. The bad thing about it is that about 30% of spectators were very lame. Not that I go crazy at the shows but compared to them I just was on rampage :) Anyway, BG`s didn`t play 2 of my favorites they had played day earlier in Saint Petersburg - Immaginations from the other side and Mordred`s Song. But we still had an awesome setlist. And we did a little flash-mob. The Fanclub printed on A4 sheets of paper the picture of a dragon with the BG logo on it and we had to put it up during the first encore song. From my point it looked amazing.
And there was a glassholder as a present for each member of the band

The Ninth Wave
Banish from Sanctuary
Nightfall
Fly
Tanelorn (Into the Void)
Prophecies
The Last Candle
Lord of the Rings
Majesty
Blood Tears
Journey Through the Dark
And the Story Ends

Encore:
Sacred Worlds
Twilight of the Gods
Valhalla

Encore 2:
Wheel of Time
The Bard's Song - In the Forest
Mirror Mirror

I’m a bit jealous of Blood Tears live :).

Anyway, that glassholder is pretty epic and fittingly overdone ^___^.

Blood Tears!!! Awesome! 8)

I really wish I could have seen them when they played in France, especially that they teamed up with Orphaned Land, another one of my faves... :irk:

Very cool idea with the flash mob!
I hope the Guardians appreciated it :) .

And Blood Tears is one of my favourite songs.
Wish I could have seen another one of their shows ...
