Aww that's too bad :(

I will see Damian Wilson next friday! I saw him in January when I went to see Threshold and he seemed to be such a nice person. He was so happy and grateful to be on that stage. I don't even know his solo works but I am looking forward to his positive energy :)
Still so many secrets, and so many tales untold remain...

It's ok. My health is definitely more important.
As it happens, they gave me back the tickets because they have had something come up and they wouldn't be in Australia for that time. So now i'll just re-sell them via the ticketing site.
:P

I'm sure you will have a good time.
Like you said, just his positive energy will be worth it.

A... what? Concert? Gig? What is this strange thing? Does it live in forests or rivers?

Awwwwwe, i can relate, for different reasons of course.
:hug

I felt beyond spoilt last year seeing Avantasia 3 times, Magnum and Iron Maiden.

It's hard being a responsible adult at times, isn't it?
:P

Hope you get to see something sooner rather than later.

My next gig will be Bruno Mars next March.
I can't see Edguy/Aerosmith coming down here this year.
If they do, i can only do the Melbourne show now as i care for mum, since her stroke.

Apparently, my next concert will be the Dead Daisies.
Never heard of them before but my lovely friends from Neumünster said they are cool, so off we go..

I wouldn't have picked you for a Bruno Mars fan, Ness.
And next March is sooo far away.
Then again, you have something to look forward to.

And if Avantasia ever make it to Oz, that would be worth a long holiday :D .

Watch this and then tell me what's NOT to love?!?
https://youtu.be/AFxCO_DyzYM

I LOVE SOUL/FUNK & SPUNK!
<3 <3 <3

I REALLY like Bruno and his music.
The only song i really dislike of his, truly dislike, is Marry You!
If a guy sang that to me or even said to me: "We're looking for something dumb to do, hey baby, i think i wanna marry you!"
I wouldn't slap him, i would punch him... Hard!!!

But i do love Bruno's music.
It's rare for a touring band to still have a full brass section - Much less dance along in choreographed unison.
:P

Brass and Woodwind was my thing instrument wise.
I used to play the trumpet, sax, trombone, tuba, French horn as well as the clarinet in the school band and inter school orchestra.
We used to perform at shopping centres and/for fundraising.
Then they threw me into the deep end and i learnt the basics of bass guitar and drums too.
Don't wanna sound rude but i have a real talent for blowing things!
Or rather had.
I haven't blown something in well over a decade.
 :innocent:

Awe, that does indeed sound wonderful.
Maybe one day.

Enjoy your Dead Daisies and the company!

Hi Ness,

I will check out the link tonight at home.

If a guy sang that to me or even said to me: "We're looking for something dumb to do, hey baby, i think i wanna marry you!"

I would punch his lights out.
That is one stupid line!

I sometimes hear his songs on the radio and so far, they don't sound to bad.
Will listen to a few more on YouTube :-).

I used to play the trumpet, sax, trombone, tuba, French horn as well as the clarinet in the school band and inter school orchestra.

Wow, I didn't know you were such a musical girl.
Do you ever think about playing one of those instruments again?

I haven't blown something in well over a decade.

And back to the Ministry of Saints ...
:D

Awe, that does indeed sound wonderful.
Maybe one day.

I truly would love that!!!
It will happen.
Edguy, Avantasia or not, we will find a way :hug .

Enjoy your Dead Daisies and the company!

I am sure I will :D .
Will send you some pics and a full report afterwards.

THANK YOU!
Almost every woman i have said that to, about that song, thinks i am insane.
I don't find anything romantic about that song, or the viral proposals i have seen over the years using that song, at all.
I find it thoroughly insulting.

Lara wrote:Wow, I didn't know you were such a musical girl.

Unfortunately i suffered Bell's Palsy when i was in my late teens which made playing my instruments impossible.
I didn't naturally take to bass or drums.
So i gave music away and focused my interests on Literature, Drama, Media and Photography.

I also suffered Bell's Palsy for a second time in my late 20's which left permanent damage to the right side of my face and some hearing loss in my right ear.
It REALLY shows when i am exhausted/stressed/upset.
I'll show you what i mean.
I took this picture in Berlin on the Tuesday after our weekend in Hamburg.
I was exhausted and other than doing my washing, i had been cooped up for 2 days in my hotel room, very ill and in a lot of pain, spine/legs wise.
I had been crying that morning/day, for numerous reasons, so the fatigue plus the heavy duty medications i started to take the day before hit me pretty hard.
You can see my face drooping clearly.
:)

Even if it takes another 3 years or so!

Hey Ness!

I find it thoroughly insulting.

Same here.
What is cute, sweet or romantic about that line?
It doesn't take the idea of marriage and sharing a life serious at all.
Or the woman.
Hey, I am bored, you are here, I'll marry you because I don't have anything to do at the moment.

Unfortunately i suffered Bell's Palsy when i was in my late teens which made playing my instruments impossible.

I didn't know that.
Life just doesn't want to give you a break ...
It's good you found something else to be passionate about.

Even if it takes another 3 years or so!

I hope not! :hug

I guess it is different strokes for different folk.
I don't know, maybe me growing up without a father made me realise just how much of a treasure it is to actually HAVE a father actively be apart of your life. Also having to watch my mum do it all on her own. Having a partner that is actively and positively your partner in navigating and sharing life, is a such a precious gift.
Something to be grateful for, not flippant about.
:)

Lara wrote:I didn't know that.

I have definitely been challenged.
But we all have something don't we?
Some of us, more than others.
Life goes on and i'm grateful for every morning, night, moment and breath that i am still here to take.
:)

I have always been told that i have an old soul.
I think maybe it's more that i was taught important life lessons early.

But it's amazing how much a smile/hug can make things seem better and allow me to look on the brighter side of life.
 :)

Wanna hear something funny?
For the second time this week, i got shit on by a bird.
I swear, i get shit on at least once a month!!!
It's meant to mean good luck which makes me wonder just how much worse off my life would be if those birdies found someone else to aim for!!!

oh god.. i hate this song so much......
i am not a very big fan of his type of music, anyway but i do like his voice... but this one song........ there is a whole list of songs that will get me furious if i even have to listen to one or two lines of it, and this one is definitly on it.... one of my co-workers used to sing it to me all day long, just to make me angry....

Yay!!!!
Another female that dislikes it!
So i'm NOT weird!
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

And his voice... OMG that smokiness/husky tone he has, even when speaking is SOOOOOOOO hot!
*hides face*

It is NOT pleasant at all.
My nearest and dearest think it is hilarious.
It is so common for me that i naturally carry all sorts of things with me, constantly to clean it up.
Sorry to hear about your food.
Ewww!

Awe, i hope you have an amazing time.
He is glorious in the flesh!
 :P

But seriously, Edguy are an amazing live band.

Ohhhhhh, you ladies are so lucky to be seeing the Edguy tour.
*wistful sigh with huge dreaming eyes*

Throw in Magnum and Mr Big...
SUPER LUCKY!

Although i will admit, i can handle not seeing Magnum only because i saw them in 2016.
Mr Big however i am still yet to see.
I would LOVE it if they toured downunder!

And April 2018 is still too far Lara?
I bought tickets for something in November 2018 already for my mum and i in Sydney!
CRAZY that they are selling this far in advance!!!
