She should ask him out. Plain and simple.

And then buy a bottle of vodka and a dozen pack of crisps.

:D

I actually said that to her a number of times. It really IS THAT SIMPLE!
*grumbles*

I think something happened at work today though. She was all pissy when she rang me before to tell me about it and i couldn't make any sense of it. We had an argument about it because she has been obsessed the last 3 weeks solid about him, 24/7 and i had enough and told her to put up or shut up. Meaning ask him out or move on and stop bothering me about it.

But she said she already had or something and it made things awkward. So maybe that is why he keeps his distance? If she keeps pushing, i can see a visit to HR and a mediation meeting in her near future!!!
:-?

I shouldn't laugh, but she is really killing our friendship as i'm seeing a side of her that actually really scares me, obsession wise. I haven't known her too long, a little over a year so this guy thing has been going longer than my friendship with her but damn... Even i am thinking of distancing myself from her as it is borderline stalker behaviour. You know the kind that if i say something against her and her obsession, then i will find myself poisoned by a bottle of bubbly she sent me as a gift to toast my birthday next month!

After tonight and her screeching down the phone at me, i think i'll leave it be and leave her be. Just slowly back away and fade away. I'm seeing flags that are glowing red hot!!!
 :P

Looks like you've calmed down a bit about it all

Your friend does sound sad, giving herself false hope. The guy sounds nice and polite and nothing more!
You could try to talk to her once more about it, though it doesn't seem like she'll want to listen. If you want to keep her as a friend, try once more and then agree not to mention the guy ever again, because you're only getting on each other's nerves this way.
However after your other post I think it's best and easiest to leave her be. People come and people go. And since you don't know her that long and you don't like her current behaviour... let it fade away :)
Still so many secrets, and so many tales untold remain...

But i don't know, maybe i'm a negative person but i think after 2 years of being around each other at work and in social gatherings from time to time, he would have tried something more than just handing her a drink.

Two years and he hasn't made a move?
He is NOT interested !
From what little I know about men, when they fancy a woman, they act.
Especially, when she sends clear signals she is interested, too.
Even for a shy guy, two years is way too long.

Let it go. You've tried several times to talk some sense into her and it has damaged your friendship.
She is one of those people you don't need.

One suggested i contact him and tell him to have a talk to her to set the record straight, there is NO WAY IN HELL I AM DOING THAT!

Seriously?! Somebody made that suggestion? :o
Big NO!
It's the worst possible position for you to be in.
It would be awkward for everyone involved.
Bad advice  .

Thanks all.
If i am to be 100% honest, i do not want to remain friends with her and have already told her so.
I've been doing that a lot lately. Clearing out people and i'm happier for it.
I'm trying to get rid of those sorts of people from my life.
They outright scare me and are so selfish/deceitful/manipulative!!!
So all's well that ends well.

I think i only put up with it for so long as i have actually been where she is and i felt sorry for her and allowed for her to vent with me. Only difference is, i told the guy that i had feelings for him and asked him out. He didn't want anything more than friendship, so we stayed friends and it was torture for me. Every time i walked away and tried to put distance between us, he came looking for me. So yeah, i think i kind of brought it all on myself to be honest.

And Titi, if you do that Superman thing... Video/Pics or it didn't happen! Understand?
 :P

What am i doing right now?
Trying to cheer myself up and about to have a date night with the Marvel Universe.
I'll explain why in the How Do You Feel Topic.

Woke up to bottle-feed Eléa, everybody's fast asleep now, so I'm taking a little time for myself. Breakfast, Olympics summary on TV, posting in here and listening to the new live by Powerwolf. :)

I'm currently going through all online registries for lost/found dogs as we have had ANOTHER little guy come to us for help as he is lost and decided to adopt us. The beautiful thing is, he looks SO MUCH like my Sam!
I would love to keep him but he isn't ours and we have to do the right thing as i would be heart broken if my Sammy ran off and i never got him back.
*sigh*

What am i doing right now?
I'm trying to work out if the L and R marked on my headsets actually DO make a difference if i swap ears.
I've gone and collected all the headsets and ear things in the house to see!
:P

So far my head hasn't exploded and i'm really wondering if it truly DOES make such a difference..?
Then again, i have a slight loss of hearing in my right ear from my Bell's Palsy so maybe that effects my ability to hear a true difference?!

Yes, it's late and i'm bored!

The dogs do look alike :o So great that you helped reunite him with his owner

I know one song (can't recall which one of course) where in the intro, the sound starts left, moves to right, back to left. So sometimes it does make a difference. But I've had my speakers the 'wrong way' because it was more convenient with cables and buttons and it never bothered me ;)

Right now I'm scanning my old portrait drawings. I have collected them and put them together in a folder. I kept them organized since 2011 but now I've added the older ones too. It's so much fun to see! The oldest one is hilarious, huge head compared to the rest of the body, no forehead, strange hairstyle and clothing I thought was cool back then.

When is resuming day?
Do you want me to send something from Australia for your class?
Something to keep in the classroom for the children or even some Aussie sweets?
Is that allowed?
Or an Aussie picture book you can translate into French or do you have to get all that type of stuff approved first?
:)
